A bridge word game is a word puzzle where you find the single hidden word that connects two other words — making a real compound word on each side. That connecting word is the "bridge."
SEEKING is a free daily bridge word game. Each day you get one puzzle, and it takes about a minute.

The bridge word is WORK, because:
The answer has to form a real compound word with both sides. A word that only fits one side isn't the bridge — it's a hint that you're close.
A compound word is two words joined into one — like SUNFLOWER or KEYBOARD. A bridge word is the puzzle built on top of that idea: you're given the outer parts and have to find the middle word that completes a compound on each side. So every SEEKING answer is the shared piece of two compound words at once. Browse our compound word reference for hundreds of examples.
You get five guesses. Type any real word; the game tells you whether it works on the left side, the right side, or both. Wrong guesses unlock gentle hints — the word length, ruled-out letters, then the first letter — so everyone can finish. Turn on Hard Mode for fewer hints.
