What these examples show

• The bridge must work on both sides. BOW fits RAIN (rainbow), but it only counts because it also fits TIE (bowtie).
• Common joining words come up a lot. BOOK, BALL, ROOM, and BOARD each anchor dozens of compounds — good early guesses.
• One-side matches are progress, not failure. If your guess completes only one side, you're circling the right word family.
